Therapy Contracts
I have some sort of working contract, whether written or verbal which should clearly define costs and length of sessions, required notice before ending and what happens in situations of cancelled sessions, sickness etc. It is common practice to commit to a minimum number of sessions at the beginning, usually around 6.
Duration of Therapy
While one person or one family may achieve what is desired in a few sessions, most will need a lot more. The process is different for each individual or family. It may be helpful in the work to use creative activities through drawing, symbols, archetypes, role play & dream work. The frequency and duration of therapy varies according to your need and availability of resources.
Sessions last for 50 minutes.

Family therapy is often short term. You usually attend one session a week, typically for three to five months. In some cases, though, families may need more intensive treatment. The treatment plan will depend on your family's specific situation.
If you are prepared to spend time, effort and self discipline to be free of your problem then you will be!
A safe, non-judgemental environment
In my work, the creating of a safe, non-judgemental environment is crucial and empowerment and autonomy of the individual, paramount. I believe that everyone has a real self that knows what is required to unfold and develop. My role is simply to help you awaken this self awareness and listen to what this deeper self wishes to manifest. To facilitate such awareness, a safe space needs to be created through the therapeutic relationship - and by using creativity and imagination the 'essential self' can be heard.
